The 'White River Ash' deopsit first becomes noticeable along the highway a few miles west of Watson Lake and extends to Mt. Churchill near the U.S. Canada border. H.S. Bostock estimated the toal volume at over 12 cubic miles. The age of the eruptions is aproximately 1200 years before present.
